Dutoit Juicy Gems Curriculum Competition – Terms & Conditions

1. Competition Overview

The Dutoit Juicy Gems Curriculum Competition (“the Competition”) is a promotional campaign aimed at schools, students, and teachers in South Africa. Participants can enter by purchasing Dutoit apples, engaging with the in-pack game via QR code, and collecting digital tokens and completing each level accordingly.

2. How to Enter

To participate:

Buy a pack of Dutoit Apples from a Checkers near you.
Locate the sticker pack inside the apple bag.
Scan the QR code found on the sticker pack.
Enter the unique code located beneath the QR code.
- Each unique code entered activates a Golden Token in the Dutoit Juicy Gems game.
- Collect all the Golden Tokens in the game to stand a chance to win.

3. Prizes

School Prize

Schools stand a chance to win one of three (3) Dutoit branded gazebos.
Schools with the highest number of valid entries (tokens collected by students) will be selected as winners.

Teacher Prize

The teacher with the most student entries from their school will stand a chance to win R5000 in cash.

Student Prize

The student who achieves the fastest time and progresses the furthest in the game stands a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy A35 smartphone.

4. Competition Period

The competition runs from 30 June to 30 September 2025.
Winners will be announced after the campaign concludes, no later than 15 October 2025.

5. Eligibility

The competition is open to all students and teachers in South Africa, except employees and immediate family members of Dutoit, Tangible Africa, Leva Foundation, and associated partners.
Only one unique code may be entered per play. Duplicate or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.

6. Winner Selection & Notification

Winners will be selected based on valid entry counts (for schools and teachers) and in-game performance (for students).
Winners will be contacted directly by the organisers via email or phone.
If a winner cannot be reached within 10 working days, an alternate winner may be selected.

7. General Terms

Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
By entering, participants agree to have their name, school name, and/or image used for promotional purposes.
The organisers reserve the right to amend or cancel any part of the competition at any time without notice, for any reason deemed necessary.

8. Disclaimer on Phone Use

📱 Dutoit Juicy Gems and Tangible Africa do not encourage or promote the use of mobile phones during school hours or instructional time. The game and associated competition should be enjoyed outside of school learning time and under appropriate adult supervision where necessary.
